productive paul

P,

Remember when you were just this big. Hours old and cuddling in with mama. I thought that you were gigantic, I was so wrong. The past 72 hours have reaffirmed what a big boy you are, and how much you are growing - every month, day, hour, minute. We have completed 3 milestones this weekend. First we learned how to wave "hi" or "bye", each time you do it becoming a bit more confident. For some reason you like to wave at daddy, maybe you are learning that waving is a social gesture & so it is what you need to do when daddy is going or coming. Then on Saturday when mama was cleaning your car seat she had a brain wave to measure you. Oh oh, 30 inches. Too big for the seat! Mama's intuition. We then had to adventure out to order the seat that I had had my eye on. Whew, it should be here this week. It's a big boy seat. Which makes me sad. Your third milestone is perhaps the most important, and impressive. Sunday was a lazy day, a well deserved lazy day. You laid about in your cowboy jammies all day. It was pretty cute. In your afternoon play session you decided that you had enough of not being able to see into your toy basket. So, my little Paul, you went from his tummy to your knees to hands on the basket to your feet peering into the basket. It was amazing to see how fast you figured it out. You love it, standing up and bouncing his knees to the music.

It will all be over before I know it.
