I am hoping for the leaves to start changing, for the days to become a little more crisp and for fall to be upon us. As much as I love summer; the heat, tan, cocktails and amazing sunsets it brings; I am officially ready for fall. I am ready to bring out my sweaters and closed toe shoes. With the fall season I always feel a renewed sense of energy and excitement. It sparks a nesting feeling inside of me. Where, like a mama bird, I begin to hunt, gather and implement everything needed to prepare my home for the following six months. I do everything possible to make our home the perfect warm and inviting home for my family .
Not only do I love the coziness of my home in these months but I love how everything looks outside my door. Leaves changing and gathering on my boulevard, night creeping in before supper and the mist of your breath all make me smile.
If mother nature decides that summer needs to stick around a bit longer, I will not complain. I will, in fact, try to make the best of it. I will never say no to sunshine. Waiting for Fall can wait, for when it officially comes I will feel like a child Christmas morning.
