Artic Adventures

It is absolutely beautiful here today. The sky is clear and a brilliant shade of blue. The snow is thin and crisp. The temperature is still chilly enough that the snow can stick around and we can watch Boo play like a giddy child in it. The temperature is in fact not to severe at 0 or -1, it's the fucking wind that makes things a bit yucky. A wind chill of -8 is enough to cut right through you, despite how many layers of "wind proof" clothing you have on. It feels like tiny needles are attacking your face or any skin that you have exposed.

The weather is a catch 22. Because it is so clear and pretty out, you can not help but bundling up and venturing out into it. But once you get out and the wind hits you with it's first slice you wonder how you will make it through your adventure. My biggest hint to enjoying it is to not walk anywhere slippy, stick to grasses and boulevards. Nothing ruins a perfect walk like slipping on an ice patch, falling down and smashing your bum and feeling the embarrassment of everyone who just saw you fall. Nice.
