We try to make every day love-day in our home, and at the risk of sounding like a bad greeting card at the dollar store, we are generally successful. Yesterday was just an excuse to have a little more fun, to talk more about hearts and to live a little frivolously. I am blessed in my life to have 2 incredible boys, one lovely lady and a pickle in the making who goes by the name of Gerkin, Gerk for short.
This space contains many writings about how P continually amazes me with his developments and characteristics. Honestly; it is incredible how he is now a little person. Who communicates his needs and desires, who helps out with daily chores like laundry or vacuuming, who eats with great enthusiasm and who has, without a doubt, a wicked sense of humor. He continually makes my life easier, fuller.
My other man is one who I call Smoopy. He refuses to buy cards for any occasion and even though I know that means I may never (in our lifetime) receive a Valentine from him it sort of makes me laugh with its practicality. I don't need a cut out card when I get 25 tealights, extra peppermint bubbles & 8 years of a lot of laughter.
I look forward to the next 72 hours and the prediction of sunshine, a road trip to explore the possibility of where the future may take us, a new Trader Joes & general good times.
