First Born

Reasons I love my muffin.

Every morning she completes an undercover commando crawl from my feet or the back of my knees to poke her nose out of the top of the covers. Once she has sniffed you out she then takes 3 more crawls forward, has a good stretch and attacks you with morning kisses.

After breakfast she generally will play for a bit and then sit in her chair while I eat or type away. She will watch me as I get ready, following me upstairs and laying outside the bathroom. When she sees the toilet flush she does a little victory dance and knows that it is walkie time. I have no idea how she knows exactly which flush is the last but she does.

While in the kitchen she lays on her bed of the edge of the kitchen watching me and waiting. Sometimes she will bring a baby with her and play while she keeps one eye on me. Sometimes it is just both brown eyes completely fixated on my every movement.

When I say "Give the baby a kiss" she snorts on up to my belly and either gives it a small and cautious lick or a full on snort.

She thinks that she is a person - and she has no reason not to believe that she isn't.
